Stumbled onto this great spot because we miss-booked a show, long story with a happy ending. Great locally sourced food and beverage, nice little wine list, great, attentive service and very unpretentious ... but did I say great food?! Highly recommend and would return.

Chocolate peanut butter pie was rich and creamy! What a bomb I ordered fried okra to start. They are spear shaped and deep fried with buttermilk batter. The okras were ok but the aioli was great. I had shrimp and grits. They were tasty but a bit too salty for my taste. I also tried Salmon which was delicious. Today's special was bacon wrapped meatloaf. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. I liked the atmosphere and the decor was modern looking. I really liked the bar area and the wine wall. Overall, I enjoyed my southern food dining experience here.
Amazing place with fabulous service and excellent food. They were very accommodating around my gluten intolerance and never let my water glass get even close to empty. I had the shrimp and grits, which were deliciously different than any I have had “up north.” We also shared a charcuterie tray that was truly next level. Dessert was wonderful. Highly recommend!
Stella's? Stellar! Benchmark others wish to be measured against (Not only in our neck of the foods, but w/ the finest Charleston, CLT or ATL has to offer). Sensibly sourced ingredients, locally owned and operated! Going there occasionally since 2010 (not often enough as I had to realize again, when going for dinner w/ friends last night). Reginal southern fare with a twist. always good for a surprise , never disappointing. Southern Sampler, Wreckfish (special) and cookie w/ vanilla bean! Out of this world and plate lickin' good. Other might have a star in the books from that French tire maker ;-). Stella's has five in mine.
For a good reason this restaurant is the number 1 in town. Great food, good service. We were l lucky to get a table without reservation. Next time we will do it. My wife enjoyed the pan seared trout, while I got the burger. Both plates were delicious. Their suggestion for the wine was on point.
Our first time here and it was a first class dining experience. Each dish was delicious, including the appetizers. The palmetto cheese in particular was amazing! My wife tried the daily special, which was the red snapper, and loved it. The Spanish wine was fantastic, and the peanut butter mousse dessert topped it off perfectly. The service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality of the experience. We’ll definitely be back soon.
I heard that this was a great place to get fresh food and they were right. Absolutely delicious food, an absolute treat for my wife and I for lunch. The shrimp and grits won’t be forgotten. The service was on point as was the atmosphere. As a chef myself, I can attest that they are doing things right here. The server, MacClain was prompt with refills and recommendations and really made the experience for us.
My friend and I ate here 12/19 for the first time and it was amazing. Our server Marley was an absolute sweetheart and attentive throughout our meal. Will definitely revisit again. Thank you.
